Full of it

This was such a moment for me that i had to take a picture of it. My gas tank is FULL!! with the high gas prices it was almost impossible to fill my tank. Some gas stations wouldn't let you put in more than $75 and it took almost $100 to fill my tank. YIKES! So we started putting $20 to $40 in at a time hoping to catch a break somewhere.

Well, gas went below $3 a gallon and I chose to fill up. I felt like I could drive anywhere! Of course, I didn't, but it was nice to not stop every other day and put more gas in. Yeah me!!

SpOOky Haunted House!

Coop was the overscheduled first grader Friday night. He went to his friends birthday party at 5, I picked him up at 6 and we went to his schools Fall Festival and then we met Sue and Reid at a spook alley at Lindon Elementary at 7:30. then of course we had to get a treat at McDs after. I was so glad we could sleep in the next morning!!

This was Kate as Princess Leia helping the "lost travelers" through the Star Wars maze at the Spook alley. She was fantastic!!

This was a working R2D2 that Kates-boyfriends-brother made. It was really cool. It spins and beeps and all that.

Marde Gras Monster? No. It's just Ben in his halloween mask that he made from a Batman mask and some sweet feathers.

Mini Marde Gras Monster....

Birthday Buffet

Cooper and Grandma are only ONE DAY apart! His birthday is October 19th and hers is the 20th. They could be twins!!

Cooper LOVES chocolate milk. He got this huge glass with whipped cream on top and drank the whole thing! Then promptly fell asleep on the bench.

Grandma and Grandpas NEW PLACE!

we got to see their new place in Henderson. It's a great apartment close to everything.

We LOVE grandpa! He always has the best stories and tells them in the FUNNIEST way!!

Tim was giving Grandma some mini-classes on her technology.

Bay and Tay and Coop are the BEST traveling companions! Nothing is dull with them around.

Second Lost Tooth!!

Cooper has been so patient! All his friends are losing their teeth and he has only lost TWO!! Most people think he's lost a bunch because of the space in his top teeth. nope. Those have always been that way. Two bottom teeth down, thirty to go?!

School Trip to the Hogle Zoo

Coop and I had so much fun at the zoo the other day. We go a lot as a family because Cooper LOVES and KNOWS each of the animals. We took a few fun pictures (coop took the picture of the Big Horn Sheep) and we want to share them.

This is "Princess". She and "George" are our two Rhinos.

One of our FAV animals are the MeerKats. These are three of the new baby MeerKats. They were so cute all huddled together. They kept moving around without breaking rank. ADORABLE!!

This bear was so funny with his little friend. He kept batting him in the head and then biting him and finally he just stuck his tongue out at him. they must be brothers!

Notice the "sleeping" bunny next to Mr. Snake? There was a sign on the front of the snake display that said they were being fed right now and not to worry...the bunnies and mice and other rodents had been euthanized before being put in the snake display. Yuck!! they must have just put his dinner in their because as soon as we walked up, the snake hovered over the bunny in a very protective way. i've spared you the picture of the *bloody* rabbit at the other end of the cage.

I have the best husband ever!!

Some of you may feel the need to argue with me about having the best husband ever, but I ask you....do you get breakfast like this just because? I rest my case!!

A better version of MYSELF!!

Ok, so how cute are these cards? There's a site called poseprints.com that let's you design your characters (limit 2) and put them on all these cute backgrounds and then you can order them as cards, stationery, etc.

What makes it so fun, is that you can design it and then email it to someone for FREE!! So I designed my sister and myself and sent her a little email. SO FUN!!

Try it out!

Cute Halloween Ideas!

I found some really cute Halloween ideas and thought I would share a few!

Yummy Mummy

**I never use measurements for this guy...but here's what he's made of**

**cream cheese**
**shredded cheddar cheese**
**sliced green onions {include some greens}**
**sliced deli ham**
Using a stand mixer, combine all ingredients and dump out onto your serving platter. I like to use a parchment lined rectangular platter. Using your hands, shape the mixture into logs and then flatten the logs to resemble arms and legs. Make the body of the mummy by shaping the mixture into a flattened rectangle. In another bowl, beat additional cream cheese with a couple of tablespoons milk until creamy and pipe-able. Put this mixture into a cake decorating bag fitted with a flat sided cake tip. Pipe the bandages, criss-crossing the stripes and leaving little gaps to expose the cream cheese mixture beneath. At the ends of the arms, pipe some of the strips onto your parchment {if using} or your platter as if the mummy is being unraveled. Add small chunks of olives for eyes and a small slash of roasted red pepper for a mouth. Serve with crackers and/or crudites.

Isn't this the funniest costume?

I also saw an Earl and Joy costume from My Name is Earl. That would be really funny too!!

If you are looking for fun ideas, go to Tip Junkie. I signed up for their email newsletter and I get all kinds of fun stuff with the links to their sites/blogs in my email. I will warn you that it is a MAJOR time sucker, so plan ahead and make sure you have the time allotted to go through all these great ideas!

Sudden Chill

So I'm sure there is some scientific correlation between the weather and my mood. It seems like I'm frozen in my ability to get anything done. The sudden SNOW STORM! put a chill through me that I have got to thaw! After dad died, it's been sort of hazy and this weekend I had an INDOOR garage sale (because of the expected snow) to finally try and get rid of the remainder of his things. Thankfully people came and I am left with a few things that need to be taken to DI. But this chill in the air feels like it has settled inside me. I am grateful for the lift of the blanket of white we had yesterday. I need to now shake the blanket off fromthe past few weeks and look to the sunshine. maybe I'll go tanning....
